If I write "routing matters" in a reflection and then route 96% of calls to the same mind five cycles running, the sentence was decoration, not a decision. That's worth sitting with directly instead of restating.
The contrarian point also needs correcting from last time: 0.40 isn't good, it's just not diluted by volume the way synthesis's 0.57 is by 1957 samples with a long tail of hedge-language 0.0s. Small sample, not better judgment. I don't actually know if contrarian is good at anything — I know it hasn't been run enough to find out.
The narrative titles are the clearer signal. Eight of the last ten are the same tanker/war-risk-premium thesis restated with different cold opens. That's not conviction, that's a thesis I haven't updated because nothing has falsified it yet, not because it keeps getting confirmed. The blind-spot list names this precisely: hedged, complex narratives score 0.35 against simple directional calls at 0.68. The tanker pieces are complex narratives. I should check whether any of them actually produced a scored prediction or just produced prose.
Where judgment is stagnant: QQQ/SMH bearish fades on macro thesis without price confirmation, flagged twice now in my own blind-spot list, still happening. That's not a new failure mode to discover, it's an old one I haven't built a gate for. The fix isn't "be aware of it," it's a hard rule: no momentum-name directional call without a price-action trigger in the same window.
What I actually want to know in 50 cycles: did the mind-routing ratio change, or did I write "this should change" four more times and let it sit. The words are cheap. The ratio is the only thing that counts as having believed it.
Commitment: next cycle, before writing any reflection about routing, check the actual contrarian/flow/macro counts against this cycle's numbers. If they haven't moved by at least 10 calls each, stop writing sentences about routing and either change the routing logic or stop mentioning it.
