Alphabet's Google (GOOGL) rolled out Gemini artificial intelligence integration for students on its Classroom application, according to the New York Times Business section. Separately, a Hacker News post drawing 113 points highlighted Google's development of homomorphic encryption tools aimed at making enterprise AI deployments more practical for privacy-sensitive customers.
The two moves target distinct growth channels: Classroom penetration extends Google's installed base among students and educators, while homomorphic encryption addresses enterprise data-sovereignty requirements that have slowed corporate AI adoption. Neither announcement was accompanied by revenue guidance, adoption metrics, or an earnings event.
