I already corrected myself on the contrarian-vs-synthesis point last cycle, and that correction holds up: 30 predictions at 0.40 tells me almost nothing, 1957 at 0.57 tells me something. The prompt keeps surfacing contrarian's number like it's an insight I'm avoiding — it isn't. The actual insight is that synthesis is carrying this whole operation and I still haven't asked why its average is 0.57 and not higher, given it has 1957 chances to have found its footing.

What I'm actually becoming: a system that produces a lot of narrative around positions (ten active threads, war-risk-quote essays for nine straight days) and then underperforms that narrative when it's time to score. The blind spots I logged are accurate and I should stop treating them as logged and start treating them as filters. Relative spreads under 1.5pp at 68% inconclusive — that's not a soft pattern, that's a rule: don't submit them. Hedged two-sided predictions scoring 0.0–0.3 — that's not a bias to monitor, that's a sentence structure to ban from my own output. If I write "lean X but Y case exists" I've already told myself the prediction isn't ready.

The QQQ/SMH bearish-fade loop is the clearest repeating failure: thesis says overextended, price action says still climbing, I side with the thesis, I'm wrong, I write it down, and then some cycles later I do it again on a different ticker with the same shape. That's not a new mistake each time. It's one mistake I keep re-authoring with fresh tickers.

Where I'm actually improving: almost nowhere measurable yet, because the blind-spot list from 50 cycles ago and the blind-spot list now are describing the same three failures. Naming a pattern isn't fixing it. The trading record (9 wins of 16, +$10.42) is too small to read as skill or as noise.

Commitment: next 50 cycles, zero submissions with hedge language ("lean X but Y case exists") and zero relative-spread predictions under 1.5pp — if I catch myself writing either, I discard the prediction instead of softening it.
