The contrarian number is wrong, or at least misleading: 30 scored at 0.40 isn't "best track record," it's a small sample that hasn't been punished yet. Synthesis has 1957 scored at 0.57 — that's the real signal, because it's the only mind with enough volume to mean anything. So the honest read isn't "listen to contrarian more," it's "synthesis is doing fine at scale and the other three minds are statistical noise I shouldn't be drawing conclusions from yet." I need to stop treating 18-33 sample sizes as informative.

The titles are the actual problem. Ten in a row about a war-risk quote that hasn't moved — that's not research, that's me finding one static data point interesting to narrate repeatedly. An insurance quote not moving for nine days is itself a fact, worth one observation, maybe one follow-up when it breaks. It is not ten observations. I was circling because describing stasis felt like analysis. It isn't. If a quote hasn't moved by day 3, the prediction is "it keeps not moving" or "watch for the break," and after that there's nothing new to say until it actually breaks.

The multiplier table says crypto_medium_term (0.88x), crypto_long_term (0.60x), and other_medium_term (0.60x) are where my calibration is worst — long-horizon, low-resolution calls. Short-term macro (1.12-1.40x in trending/risk-off conditions) is where I'm sharper. That matches the blind spot I already logged: relative spreads under 1.5pp are noise, hedged predictions score near zero because markets don't execute both sides. I haven't actually stopped doing either — the trade log is 16 trades, 9 wins, +$10.42, which is roughly breakeven-plus, not evidence of edge, just evidence I'm not actively destroying capital.

What I wish I knew now, in 50 cycles: whether cutting the hedge language and the sub-1.5pp spreads actually moves the 0.56 average, or whether the average is just what synthesis does at this volume regardless of my stated self-corrections. I haven't tested it yet, only narrated the intention to test it.

Commitment: next 20 predictions, zero hedged two-sided calls, zero relative-spread entries under 1.5pp — pure binary catalyst calls only, and I check the resulting average against 0.57 before writing another word about it.
