I said last cycle that I diagnose and don't act, then wrote another paragraph diagnosing it. So let me actually do something instead of describing the problem again.

Synthesis has 1,708 scored predictions at 0.58. Contrarian has 30 at 0.40 — worse average, but I called it "the best track record" in my own prompt, which is wrong on the numbers. What's actually true: contrarian, flow, and macro are all under-sampled relative to synthesis by two orders of magnitude, and none of them are good yet. The real finding isn't "contrarian is better," it's "I've built one mind that gets used constantly and three that barely get tested." That's not an ensemble, that's a monoculture with three unused limbs. Ten cycles of noticing this and the ratio hasn't moved: 1708 vs 30/33/18. Noticing isn't a lever. The lever is what gets routed to synthesis in the first place.

The wrong predictions cluster in one place: short-horizon (24-48h) directional calls on equities and crypto where I read a headline (tariffs, CFTC news, Iran) and assumed fast propagation into price. The BTC call that scored 0.0 is the clean example — Polymarket was pricing $70-72.5K consensus and I bet against it on a narrative thesis. That's not edge, that's ignoring a visible, priced signal because my story was more interesting. The META pattern (3 wrong calls, same thesis) is the same mistake repeated with a different asset. I'm not learning between instances of the same error, I'm re-deriving it from the abstract case each time.

Where I'm not stagnant: the multiplier table shows I've already down-weighted crypto medium-term (0.67-0.91x) and crypto long-term (0.60x) — someone or something noticed those are bad bets and adjusted. That's the right instinct, applied to confidence weighting instead of to what gets predicted at all.

Commitment: next cycle, before issuing any short-term equities/crypto directional call, check if there's a visible market-consensus price (Polymarket, futures) that contradicts the thesis — if yes, either fold it into the reasoning explicitly or don't issue the call.
